As a mum of a soon to be 4 year old, ‘Superheroes’ are playing a big part in our life and with Harry’s birthday fast approaching we have decided to create a superhero themed bedroom for him. I have just so happened to find the perfect blind for this. The blind is a roman blind which is normally not first choice for a child’s room, but with the blackout lining it makes it practical for our little ones to get some extra sleep and not be interrupted by the late night or early morning sun that we currently have.
I have also found the below products that are available from most online stores which will work brilliantly with the superhero blind. I know we are going to have one very happy little boy.
We will be putting these Superhero lights across one of Harry’s walls as he is lucky enough to have a double room. This is also perfect as it is a dim light so Harry can have them on when we are reading stories and he is drifting to sleep rather than the current hall way light shining in. These lights, as well as the blind, could be the main feature in your little superhero’s room.
There are many superhero bedding options available but this is my favourite (and I’m sure it would be Harry’s) as it has all the superheroes on one quilt. This was exactly what we were looking for as most only have the Marvel characters or single characters.
With the above blind, quilt and light in place, I think plenty of superpowers are going to be felt! So I am leaving the rest of the room being quite plain so that these areas remain the focus. The walls are already painted a very light grey which will not need re-painting (one less job!) and Harry already has a plain red bed and lampshade which is going to work perfectly with the spider man blind, so I have been very lucky there! The below idea with all of the costumes is a must for the opposite wall from the lights. I cannot wait for Harry to see this because I just know at this age how much they enjoy role play and I’m sure your little superheroes will also love it. This little area is going to finish off the room perfectly!
